My comment after Biden’s speech is that American days of “Heads I win, Tails you lose” in foreign relations have already ended.

President Biden said we want to work with our allies. He said “he has talked to the leaders of Canada, Germany, France, NATO, South Korea, Japan, and Australia and discussed their abuse and neglect of past few years.”

He said “we will confront China’s economic abuses; counter its aggressive, coercive action; to push back on China’s attack on human rights, intellectual property, and global governance.” Biden also said “where it’s in our interest, we are ready to work with Beijing in the American interest”.

Biden mentioned the renewal of START (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, 1991), a bilateral treaty between USA and Russia for next five years and asked Putin to release Navalny.

It was calibrated message with regard to Middle East particularly Iran and Saudi Arabia. He said that he asked his Middle East team to ensure our support for peace talks in Yemen and will not support Saudi backed actions in Yemen. “This war has to end”.

He further said Saudi Arabia is facing missiles attacks, UAV (Drones) strikes and other attacks from Iranian supplied forces and multiple countries. America will continue to help and support Saudi Arabia to defend its sovereignty and its territorial integrity and its people.

In the end, he said “we must restore the health of our foreign policies and its morale.”
