On the occasion of centenary celebration of the Communist Party of China, former President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai said in an interview that “China is playing a constructive role in the peace and stability of Afghanistan and trying for betterment of relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan through civilised interaction.”
Karzai said that the US has failed in Afghanistan, stability did not come, conflict did not end but new terrorist groups emerged.” America’s legacy was “in total disgrace and disaster”.
Two days ago, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan “accepts China’s version” on Uyghur Muslims, whereas the West are saying the opposite. The Western countries remain silent on the human rights violations in other countries. This is the hypocrisy of these people. Imran Khan also praised the transformation of Chinese economy into a high-tech powerhouse and raising 770 million people from poverty.
China has made historical progress in the last forty (40) years. Its annual gross domestic product (GDP) rose from a mere $191 billion or $195 per capita in 1980 to $14.3 trillion or $10,261 per capita in 2019. It is an economic miracle or nothing less than a “Moajjaza” in the present world.
In last seven years, China has made the countries of Asia and Africa its partners in her progress through Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). It is a befitting reply to the terrorism spread by America and Europe in the world.
After the Second World War (WWII), Europe and America played a important role in death and destruction in Africa, the Middle East, Bosnia, Kosovo and created terrorists’ group everywhere and kept calling themselves as the sole custodian of a civilized society.
Hopefully within next five-ten years China, the Middle East, Turkey will lead the world towards a civilized society by honouring the human rights of all mankind.
