Surprised to know that famous Italian painter Leonardo Da Vinci (1452-1512) use to make his own paints from imported costly stone Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan. Lapis Lazuli is mixture of minerals found in mines in Badakhshan province of Afghanistan.

यह जान कर बहुत ताज्जुब हुआ के ईटली के मशहूर पेंटर लिनारडो दा वेनची (1452-1512) ख़ुद अपना पेंट अफ़ग़ानिसतान के महँगे पत्थर “लाजवरत” से बनाते थे।तब न उन की “मोना लिसा” के पेंटिंग मे आज भी चमक और ख़ूबसूरती है।
