पिछले हफ्ता ओमान के नये बादशाह हैथम बिन तारीक़ सऊदी अरब के शाह सलमान के दावत नामह पर पहली बार ओमान से बाहर निकले और दो दिन सऊदी अरब मे रहे। हैथम जनवरी 2020 मे सुल्तान क़ाबुस के इंतकाल के बाद ओमान के बादशाह बने हैं।
शाह सलमान कोविड प्रोटोकौल को पहली बार तोड़ कर हैथम से नियोम शहर मे मिले। पिछले साल कोविड के बाद से शाह सलमान किसी से नही मिलते हैं, कैबिनेट मिटिंग भी वर्चुअल होता है।
ओमान के बादशाह का पहली यात्रा मे सऊदी अरब जाना और बहुत सारे प्रोजेक्ट पर साझा समझौता करना मिडिल इस्ट या गल्फ़ के देशो की बदलती नई राजनीति की तरफ एक नया मोड है।सुल्तान काबूस मिडिल इस्ट के पौलिटिक्स मे कभी नही पड़ते थे और वह हमेशा न्यूटरल रहे।
सऊदी अरब ने एक 680 km का हाईवे ओमान मे बना कर सऊदी अरब से जोड़ा है ताकि यूएई की तरह दोनो देश के लोग रोड द्वारा एक दूसरे मूल्क आसानी से आ जा सकें और ओमान का Port of Duqm और पाकिस्तान के Port of Gwadar से बिजनेस कर सकें।
प्रिंस सलमान और हैथम ने रविवार की रात को नियोम शहर मे इंगलैंड-ईटली फूटबौल मैच साथ बैठ कर देखा और कहा जाता है कि प्रिंस सलमान ने अरबों डालर निवेश करने की बात किया। अभी ओमान की अर्थव्यवस्था बहुत खराब है, बेरोजगारी बहुत है और कर्ज 85% of GDP है।

Prince Salman and Haitham watched together Euro Cup England-Italy football match in Neom city on Sunday night and Prince Salman talked about investing billions of dollars in several projects in Oman. Right now Oman’s economy is very bad, unemployment is high and debt is 85% of GDP.
Efforts are being made to make Musandam peninsula (Khasab) of Oman the second Abu Dhabi and Dubai by connecting the Gwadar of Central Asia to Pakistan.
