On April 3rd at 6 pm, the whole world will witness the “Golden Journey” of 22 Royal Mummies of the great Egyptian civilisation travel from Tahrir square, Cairo to the new Museum of Civilisation, Ain Sira. The sky of Cairo will be full of fireworks, laser lights and searchlights that would illuminate the names of each King and Queen.
The parade of the historic day will have 22 cars with 18 mummies of Kings and 4 mummies of Queens.
The most famous mummy will be of Ramesses II, who died at the age of 96. The other famous Pharaoh King Thutmose III, who died of injury and had nine wounds on his forehead will be on display along with his wife Queen Ahmose Nefertari.
CT Scan and DNA tests have been done for all the mummies to know the lineage (#Gotra).
The governorate of Cairo has declared a state of emergency. This special event will be televised live on 18 International Channels.
