Last US troops leave Kabul as 20- year occupation ends in humiliation.
US Ambassador Ross Wilson aboard last flight from Afghanistan. US and coalition forces evacuated more than 1,23,000 civilians in last 13 days.
It is a historical day for all of us. We have seen four decades of war and death in Afghanistan and Pakistan. We have seen the break up of Russia and rise of China and humiliation of Western powers.
Afghans celebrated the end of occupation with gun fires just after midnight. Beginning of a new era for Afghanistan and Asia, Insha Allah.
